Stone Fox

This is a book report about the book Stone Fox.
Little Willy was a young boy. Searchlight is his dog. Grandfather lived with him. until this story began. Now once upon a time Grand father would not wake up. Little Willy wondered why. Little willy tied the dog sled up to Searchlight to go get Dr. Smith for help. Dr. said he had a stroke and to help him he would need to earn $500 or lose their farm. There was only one way. To earn $500 he would have to win a town dogsled race with Searchlight. So he started to memorize the race's trail, but right then, he saw something coming. He stopped. It was a team of dogs and an Indian driver. The Indian was Stone Fox. Little Willy asked if he was going to race. He said yes. Soon it was the big day. It was time to start the race. Little Willy was very  nervous. Searchlight knew the track well so he felt confident they could win together. Then they were off! He was ahead of others. But then Stone Fox began catching up- right at the end. He got right behind Little Willy and Searchlight. Searchlight raced as fast as he could. It was so fast he fell down dead 100 yards before the finish line. Stone Fox came up. He drew a line in the snow with his foot and said, "nobody can cross this line or I will shoot." So Searchlight and Little Willy won afterall. They did not lose their farm. And Grandfather started to recover. The End- Jared
