The Extraordinary Ordinary

I just love the colors of spring (more than the wind!). Blossoms are popping out everywhere! The fresh new green lace covering trees is unmatched - and disappears so quickly. And the purples and yellows and whites, too! Our peach trees are in full blossom. Makes my mouth water just to take their picture :).
This week at the supper table during a light-hearted moment, we were discussing friends, specifically trying to guess who Marcus would say his closest friends are. We guessed the obvious ones- good boy buddies/cousins his age, but he just kept shaking his head "no". Finally we gave up. "Should I tell?" he asked. Then he promptly began pointing to each of us. It was such a warm fuzzy moment. I have always wanted my children to be best friends and sometime it has seemed like my prayers are not worth much. But... now I'm pretty sure they were worth something.  Its been a joy lately(for the most part) watching our children interact.  (Here Faith and Marcus are enjoying each other and some rare free time, sketching God's lovely creation.) We just sound so peaceful, don't we? :)
