All That Sewing was Worth It

Lately I have been working a lot on dresses for Africa. I wanted to have a good amount to send with some of our friends on a mission trip to Haiti. A few weeks ago, some of my friends got together and they all made some too. It was great fun! We ended up sending 15 to Haiti. Lisa (one of the ladies who took them for us) said, "Those girls we gave them to absoulutely loved them. It was so neat to watch the look on their faces when they saw these dresses. I was their hero, and I had nothing to do with making them!" It was so neat to look at these pictures! I love sewing, but it is especially fun to think that I'm helping little girls who aren't as fortunate as I am, while I'm sewing them. -Faith

P.S. If anyone has any scraps of material they think they will never use, it would be much appreciated. It does not have to be anything girly looking.

  1. That is so neat Faith! I haven't gotten around to trying the pattern you gave me for them yet, but I can't wait to. Thanks again for the pattern!
