Yesterday we had the chance to watch an outdoor (yes, a little hot) Shakespeare comedy for kids in a lovely botanical setting. Best of all, it was free! We had studied Shakespeare in history so this was a great way to make it come alive (great homeschool mom, i know:)) It was The Twelfth Night and was enjoyed by all. What wasn't understood by the children was gained in giggles over the actors' dress and funny actions. It was sort of interactive, with blankets on the lawn for the kids. The best was when an actor came right up to Jared and said his three line speech in first one ear, then behind him, then the other ear. Jared said it was LOUD!
It was a gorgeous park. I took this picture because I wish I had flowers like this. A fountain in our backyard would be lovely addition too. Of course, my family is adorable as well...
We've had a week of gratefulness towards God for moving and working in others to support our adoption! We also finally have our Lifesong account set up. Praise God for His love and care.
And last of all, we got to try a gooseberry pie for supper. Someone brought in gooseberries to the Farmers' Market and no one bought them. Dave brought them home, Lily stemmed them, Dave found a recipe online and put it all together. Not bad, but probably won't bother in the future...
