I just read a book called Robert E. Lee and mom told me to write about what I read. Robert E. Lee was a soldier in the Civil War. First he was asked to fight for the Union army. I know that we all know that he refused. A few weeks later he was asked to fight on the Confederate. He accepted this and was soon in the army. I liked this book because I learned a lot about his childhood that I didn't know before. He and his brother had a hide-out by a river. His mom taught him school at home. His father was a soldier and Robert dreamed of being one too.-Marcus
