What are my Friday hobbies? Certainly not cleaning the house! Well, last year one of my friend's grandma put on a sewing class on Friday afternoons. Before the class I hated sewing. After the class it was O.K. In that class we made a quilt all together. This year she did the class again and we made a pillowcase, a teddy bear, and a skirt. Now I love sewing and boy does that make mom happy. Just recently I made two skirts for myself in one week (actually on one the hem is not finished). So...sewing is one of my Friday hobbies.
Last Friday Mom and I went to a homeschooling cake decorating class. We each got our own cake and first we covered the cake with frosting. Next we traced the outline of a flower on a coloring sheet, flipped it over, and pressed it onto the cake. The lines made an impression and so we went over it again to make a flower on our cake. After that was done, we filled the petals in, and then made an edging around the whole cake. It was so fun! -Faith
