Friday night: Dad said, "I am so tired tonight so could you get ready for bed really fast? (this is nothing new) If you do I will give you a surprise (this is nothing new either- usually its a kiss which is nice, but not really worth the extra effort). You can sleep in the living room with your clothes on for your surprise!" However, that night dad and mom stayed up later then usual, even though they "claimed" they were very tired. In hindsight (that was a vocab word this week), I had noticed that Mom was kind of packing for some reason, too. Something must be going on. We will just have to wait and see.
Saturday Morning at 6:00 AM: We were awakened by the sound of a cow-bell. After everybody was awake, Dad said, Get dressed and go to the bathroom. The van will be pulling out in ten minutes. Jared's response was, "This is weird!" (that is what he says for everything) We drove for three hours (without any extra bumps and blowouts)and ended up at Conner Prairie. We had a wonderful time in the Golden Eagle Hotel, and store, schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, and much more. The weather was beautiful, too. It was a great way to spend the day outside and together. Although it was a bit stressful to be in suspense for three hours, we have all decided we hope they do it again. -Faith
