We had an absolutely fabulous vacation. As we packed up our bags last night, the kids were actually just as excited about coming home as they were about leaving. However, they can't stop talking about all the fun they had there. We highly reccomend Silver Dollar City and the Noah's Ark to any family! Favorite rides at Silver Dollar City included Faith - the Crazy Carousel; Marcus - the American Plunge and the mini roller coaster; Jared - Lost River Raft and Frogs; Lily - Butterfly and Lost River Raft.
The trip home was uneventful except for the fact that I ended up going the wrong way on one of the interstates. Thankfully I caught it within five miles! We enjoyed driving past the arch in St. Louis. We made it home at about 4:00. Amazingly, the landscape changed drastically while we were gone. When we left, it was HOT and when we came home it is fall - the crops are being harvested the air is crisp and cool. We are loving it. Of course one of the first things we all enjoyed when we walked through the door was a good old STOMP through the house without fear of the grouchy old lady appearing at our door...
