Faith decided it was high time that Dad write on the blog, so here it is. Can you believe this summer is almost over?? I guess we have been so busy around here that the summer is passing us by. We have done some fun and exciting things that others in the family probably won't blog about, so I thought I would. A couple of weeks ago, we attended a family reunion. The reunion for the descendents of Kara's Great-Great-Grandparents. Yeah, some of you reading this are likely related and should have been there too!! Now you may be asking why we would go to a reunion of such. Actually, it was great fun for me. But the most awesome part of our day was a visit to the Morton Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Yes, I said Cemetery! We just drove past, and I happened to spot a tombstone with the name "KIESER". As it turns out, it was the tombstone of Kara's Great-grandparents. All around it were relatives of Kara including her Great-Great-Grandparents. My kids probably weren't all that impressed, but they will be soon as I am going to try to put together a geneology course this fall. If we have time for it, it will be great fun!!!
Ok, so for some more exciting news. I often ask my kids which one of them is going to sit in my sunroom (in my retirement house) and sip coffee with me. Typically I don't get a lot of positive response. Kara has agreed to sit and sip tea, but it just isn't the same as sipping coffee together. I decided that Kenan is going to be the child, so started training him this morning...
