Family. Friends. Fun.

Friday afternoon we left for Indianapolis and stayed at a hotel. We had pizza and then watched the movie Heidi. Kenan cried about half of the movie, and Lily and Jared were both scared and they were crying! Anyway Saturday we got up and went on a bumpy, wild ride to Conner Prairie. We met Kent, Bethany, Brandon, and Cassidy (our neighbors). It was a wonderful trip.

We watched a Civil War reenactment. It was exactly like a real battle but in the real battle there was not a crowd of people by it!!! I like the cavalry the best. After the battle there was a medic tent. We watched a man cut off a soldier's leg or act like it anyway. We all had a good day.-Marcus

Can you believe I got to take my picture with Abraham Lincoln? I liked watching the Civil War. I got to make my very own covered wagon.-Jared
I dressed up like a little pioneer girl. I had an apron on me, too. We walked and walked and walked.-Lily
There were a lot of ladies dressed up in hoop skirts. They are so neat (be sure to zoom in on the picture to see the hoops)! In the bathroom there was a lady with a hoop skirt waiting for a stall. Another lady came in and asked if she was waiting since there was a stall open. The lady replied, "Yes, but I have to have the big one!" I am so glad we went! -Faith
