What a Blessing Volunteering Is...

Most of you know that I play the violin. I have a lesson every Monday in a room above Dave's Supermarket. In the winter, or when it is raining Dad will come pick me up or Mom will stay in. Now that it is warmer out I can walk the four blocks to the Nursing Home and then Dad can take me home. In my spare time at the Nursing Home, I volunteer. I play piano for a resident, do a craft with a resident or just make
sample craft by myself, ect. There is a lady that comes and serves dessert once in a while and so I help her. When they had the Christmas Dinner I went in and helped set up. Then I went to violin practice (Which was late that day.) When I came back everybody knew that I had helped out for some reason. Then I found out they had announced it during the dinner! I really like helping at Fairveiw Haven. I hope I can stick with it for a while. It is a true blessing!-Faith
