A Chemist, an Engineer, a Grocer, a Nurse, and Friends

On Thursday, Faith and Marcus attended homeschool classes at the Discovery Museum in Bloomington. The rest of us, plus Kim, Cambria and Jenna spent the time playing... here's their story:

My class was on Pure Chemistry. It was a really interesting class! We took two chemicals, put food coloring in it, mixed it up, and guess what happened? It suddenly started getting hot, and foamed up. Then the foam got hard, and it looked just like ice cream! I put blue food coloring in mine, and it turned out to be green foam. That is how I knew that there was a chemical reaction going on. It was lots better than doing a math lesson at home!!! - Faith

My class was on engineering. We worked with a whole bunch of wires and lights. They gave us two wires and a battery and a light. And we made the light turn on.Then we put legos together and made a chair. Then we made floor plans for a house. It was very fun. - Marcus

I liked playing in the water because you can make waterfalls. The grocery store was very very fun. I was the grocer and ran the cash register. - Jared
